For More Than 60 Years
In 1943, Mike and Margaret Paluck opened a "dry" store on Pioneer Boulevard in Sandy, Oregon. They took customer's clothing to Gresham for cleaning and then back to their Sandy store for pickup. As the business grew and the community came to rely on the Paluck's service and attention to detail, they moved to a larger space on Shelly Avenue.

Over the next decade the business continued to grow and was moved again to its present location on Proctor Boulevard. Dry cleaning equipment was added and a portion of the building was converted to a coin-operated laundromat. A drapery department later replaced the laundromat and manufacturing of drapes as well as the pressing and pleating of cleaned drapes soon followed.

We've Grown Beyond Mt. Hood Cleaners and Laundry
Still a family owned and operated business Brad and Ken Paluck (Mike and Margaret's sons), have grown the business beyond Mt. Hood Cleaners and Laundry. Commercial services for window covering manufacture, installation and cleaning; commercial services for linens and bedding; affiliation with the Certified Restoration and Drycleaning Network have expanded the scope of services offered. Company vehicles can be seen traveling throughout the area, as far as Salem, Madras and Vancouver, Washington.

Continuous Training and Industry Involvement
Today, the Paluck family is still committed to providing top notch service by continually training their staff and using the latest techniques in drycleaning, restoration, laundering and more. They remain active in the drycleaning industry, participating in conferences and contributing years of experience on advisory boards. Expertise is also brought to the insurance business, through CDRN, where Brad serves on the advisory board. Mt Hood Cleaners and Laundry is also certified to train insurance staff on what can be expected when cleaning and restoring smoke, fire, and water-damaged items.

For more than 60 years, the Mt. Hood Cleaners and Laundry family has been delivering exceptional service to the communities they reach and this will continue to be their focus for years to come.
