CRDN division earns “Shining Star”
Brad Paluck, president of Mt. Hood Cleaners, won the 2007 Shining Star award from the Certified Restoration Drycleaning Network, the international organization of textile restoration specialists. Mt. Hood Cleaners has a CRDN division that specializes in restoring garments and textiles damaged by fire, smoke, water, mold or other contaminants.

“The Shining Star Award is CRDN’s most prestigious recognition,” said Wayne Wudyka, founder and CEO of CRDN. “Brad is always looking to improve at many levels—personally, in business and with his family. He is truly one of the most ambitious, steady, friendly gentlemen you could ever meet. The word ‘generosity’ really does not do him justice, as Brad has often given enormously, and I mean in big ways. All that said, he has continued to be a tireless supporter of the CRDN System, staff and fellow Partners.”
Brad Paluck acknowledges his staff
“This award is really a reflection of the company and our staff, who help me give back to the CRDN,” said Paluck, who serves on a CRDN advisory committee and frequently mentors new franchise owners. “We’ve had an awesome last six months, with several awards coming from our community, the Network and other sources.”
Chad McCabe booked the highest sales figures for CRDN
Chad McCabe was selected for the 2007 CRDN Marketing Representative of the Year award primarily because he had the highest sales figures for CRDN restoration services in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
Local Chamber of Commerce and customers honor Mt. Hood Cleaners
Mt. Hood Cleaners was also named Small Business of the Year by the Sandy Chamber of Commerce and was voted the “Best Dry Cleaners” in a reader’s choice ballot published by the Sandy Post and the Gresham Outlook, the two newspapers that serve the customers of the dry cleaning business.
The Small Business of the Year honor was awarded to Mt. Hood Cleaners for its success in business and for the company’s community service, including support for My Father’s House, a local homeless shelter, and donated cleaning services for the Byer family of Corvallis, who were featured on the television show “Extreme Makeover Home Edition” in October 2007.
“We’ve been a family-owned business since 1943,” said Paluck. “We have grown to 82 employees, serving customers as far away as Southern Oregon and Western Washington, but we still feel very much a part of the other communities we serve.”
